23 Sep 2024

The Open Science Ambassador Network Workshop Days were held at the University of Graz from 9 to 11 September. This event, funded by the Arqus Innovation Fund, allowed different members of the Open Science Ambassador Network Community of Practice (CoP) to meet face-to-face and define the next steps.

The event was coordinated by the University of Graz team, Hildrun Walter, Gabriella Hofer and Hilmar Brohmer, and was attended by participants from all Arqus universities. Different relevant topics related to Open Science were discussed, and several decisions were taken, such as the workflow that the CoP will follow or the different task forces that will work in it. These task forces will be in charge of topics such as the organization of webinars and the transmission of relevant materials, as well as the possibility of creating a prize for the best use of Open Science in a thesis within the Arqus Alliance.

The objectives/goals after this meeting were defined as follows:

  • To make Open Science more visible at each Arqus University.
  • To share opinions and documents (papers, policies…) on Open Science.
  • To foster the implementation of Open Science practices at our universities monitoring and evaluation.
  • To create and gather resources for Open Science.
  • To use synergistic effects between universities (joint training, exchange, etc.).
