The University of Granada (UGR) invites its community (teachers, researchers, staff and students) to participate in the Introductory Session on the European Commission’s Blueprint for a European Degree, to be held on 2 December, from 09:30 to 12:00 CET in the “Salón de Actos” Conference Room of the School of Civil Engineering.

The event is organised by the EDLab pilot project on policy experimentation, which has been implemented by the Arqus Alliance in collaboration with ENLIGHT, EUTOPIA and SEA-EU. This session will be a unique opportunity to reflect on the challenges and opportunities the ambitious European degree poses for the academic programmes and the European Higher Education Area.

During the session, key topics will be addressed, such as:

  • Why do we need a European degree?
  • Details on the European Commission’s Blueprint.
  • Status of the implementation process at the UGR.
  • Round table: Challenges and obstacles in the process.

The session is especially aimed at vice-deans for teaching and internationalisation, coordinators of undergraduate and master’s degree programmes (including double, multiple and joint degrees), coordinators of doctoral programmes, as well as those members of the academic community initiating proposals of joint degrees (through Arqus, Erasmus Mundus and other agreements) or willing to delve into the topic. The Vice-Rectors for Internationalisation; Quality, Teaching Innovation and Undergraduate Studies; and Postgraduate Studies and Continuing Education of the University of Granada are also among the target audience of this Session.
