10 Mar 2025Students and researchers from the University of Granada took part in a seminar on Latin American literature as part of the Arqus Twinning programme in Leipzig, Germany. Three students of the Master’s Degree in Latin American Studies at the University of Granada, together with Professor Ana Gallego Cuiñas and lecturer Marta F. Extremera, had the opportunity to strengthen ties and discover new learning and teaching dynamics at Leipzig University on 25-27 November 2024.
The Arqus Twinning programme offers the opportunity to travel to one of the Arqus partner universities to enhance collaboration between staff and students in their fields of study and carry out joint learning and teaching activities.
On this occasion, Professor Jobst Welge, from Leipzig University, and Ángela Calderón, lecturer at the University of Granada, held the first part of the seminar “Authorship and narrative: new trends in the Latin American novel” in a series of highly successful sessions.
The aim of the seminar was to introduce Master’s students from both universities to a series of debates on the current figure of the author, recent narrative production in Spanish and the main theoretical-critical currents of Latin Americanism, among other topics.
Arqus Twinning activities are enriching experiences that allow researchers to get in touch with other colleagues, to look for intersections between lines of research and to integrate, even if only for a short time, into another academic institution.
