From 29 June to 5 July 2025, Professor Dr. Kacper Wosiak from the University of Wrocław visited the Faculty of Law at Leipzig University for a research stay, as part of the ongoing collaboration between the two Arqus partner universities. His visit was hosted by the Chair of Civil Law and Private International Law, currently represented by Dr. Denise Wiedemann.

Professor Wosiak, whose research focuses on corporate law and business organisation, particularly the Polish “simple joint-stock company” introduced in 2021, used the opportunity to deepen academic exchange and discuss the practical implications of this new legal form.

A highlight of his stay was a public lecture in English titled “Rethinking Corporate Forms: The Polish Simple Joint-Stock Company”, held on Tuesday, 1 July 2025. The event attracted students and faculty members interested in comparative corporate law and international legal developments.

The visit contributed to strengthening academic ties between Leipzig and Wrocław, and further enriched the international dimension of legal research within the Arqus Alliance network.
