25 Sep 2025Dorothy Kelly, Arqus Coordinator, participated on 23 September in the 1st Forum of students and European Alliances organised by the Coordinator of Representatives of Public University Students (CREUP), the national association representing more than 1,000,000 students in Spain.
As President of the Group of Spanish Universities in European Universities (UEUE), she participated in the opening and the subsequent session, where she discussed the current status of alliances and next steps involving student representation.
The forum included seven working groups and various training sessions. Among other topics, it addressed issues such as students’ expectations regarding partnerships, participation in their design, the elimination of social barriers and the impact of these initiatives on sustainability, as well as the European degree programmes. The challenges of international mobility, quality in joint programmes, and fundamental rights linked to higher education in Europe were also addressed.
Dorothy congratulated CREUP on the initiative. We are looking forward to further collaborations with students at the centre of European alliances.
