Happy Arqus Day!

18 Oct 2025

On 18 October, Arqus started its journey to connect universities and people across Europe. To celebrate, and as part of Erasmus Days Week, the universities of Leipzig, Lyon, Maynooth, and Minho organised a series of activities, where everyone had the chance to experience internationalisation, discover all the opportunities Erasmus+ has to offer, and even taste traditional dishes from all nine Arqus universities. Check out all the activities carried out here

In addition to these on-campus events, we also brought the celebration online. Last Friday, we ran a quiz on our Arqus Instagram account, giving participants the chance to show off their Arqus knowledge for the chance of winning a prize. Thank you to everyone who joined in. We loved seeing all your answers and comments! The winners, one from each university, will be announced next week.

To keep the Arqus day spirit up, we have prepared a video to thank our Arqus community and everyone who has been part of these seven years of internationalisation, experience, laughs…And much more!

None of these could have been made without your help, our Arqus Community; every student, academic, and staff member has contributed to building this vision of an open, integrated, and research-driven European University.

Thank you for making it possible. Let’s keep working together on the future of higher education!
