The Arqus Joint Master’s Programme in European Studies is jointly offered by the universities of Granada, Graz, Leipzig and Vilnius. You will explore how Europe acts, is perceived, and is challenged in a global context, examining the relationship between Europeanisation and globalisation, the EU and its institutions, Europe’s neighbours, the interaction between EU and non-EU states, effects of global politics and developments on Europe and its governments and on other important topics.
Study at four universities across Europe: Granada, Graz, Leipzig, and Vilnius. Choose an entrance university and use the opportunity to spend at least one semester at another partner university.

European Studies is an interdisciplinary programme that combines:
You learn to approach European questions from multiple angles, gaining a toolkit that is relevant for academic, policy, and professional careers.
The consortium combines the regional and academic expertise of the four partner universities, all of which have long-standing experience in European Studies. The programme aims to equip students with the analytical skills needed to examine Europe’s past, present and future roles on a research basis and to contribute to the analysis and development of political, economic, social and cultural projects.
Each partner university has its own geographic and thematic focus. You can choose your study path and specialisation according to your interests.
If you have an academic background in humanities, social sciences or related fields and are interested in European affairs, this is the right programme for you.
