WG11 – Arqus Online Language Courses Programme

The Arqus A1 Online Language Courses are a free and flexible way for students and staff from Arqus universities to start learning a new European language. These fully online courses make it easier to learn the basics of a local language — especially helpful for students studying in a country where they don’t speak the language yet.

Each course aims to bring together at least 20 participants per semester, creating a supportive and international learning community. The A1 courses are ideal for students in joint degree programmes, those preparing for a stay abroad or anyone wanting to feel more connected to their host country. By encouraging language learning and cultural exchange, the programme supports the EU goal of multilingualism — helping participants speak two additional European languages alongside their mother tongue.

Whether you’re planning a move, already living abroad or just curious, the Arqus A1 courses are a great way to get started!
