From 22nd to 26th May, the University of Wrocław will be hosting the “Arqus Summer School on Democracy: Ukraine on the road to Europe” with the aim of engaging young scholars in a critical reflection on Ukraine’s current political and economic transformation.
A total of 22 PhD students, 14 coming from Arqus universities and 8 from Ukrainian universities, in the disciplines of political science, sociology, history, law, philosophy, economics and communication will participate in this gran event.
They will have the opportunity to attend lectures and workshops and share their points of view on the Ukrainian democratic path to the European Union and the current war situation. PhD candidates from Ukrainian universities will present political, social and economic changes caused by the war in Ukraine and the Arqus students will look at the consequences of this war on their respective countries.
This Summer School is part of an initiative of the Polish Ministry of Education and Science and the National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA) to subsidise activities with partner universities from Ukraine that are complementary and synergistic to those planned within the framework of Arqus.
