Arqus Awards Ceremony held at the University of Minho

11 Jul 2024The Arqus Awards Ceremony 2024 took place at the Annual Conference hosted by the University of Minho from 2 to 4 July in Braga (Portugal). The event celebrated the winners of the 4th edition of the Arqus Teaching Excellence Awards, the 1st edition of the Arqus Green Mobility Days Award, and the 2023 Arqus International Innovators Award.
The Arqus Teaching Excellence Awards recognize innovative and outstanding pedagogical practices that foster a learning culture transcending disciplinary boundaries, empowering students in inclusive, community-based, and dynamic learning environments within the Arqus Alliance.
This year the honorees are:
This new Arqus Award recognizes outstanding commitment to sustainability through innovative green mobility approaches. Elena Della Rocca, an undergraduate Bachelor’s Degree student in Cultural Tourism Planning and Management at the University of Padua, won the award for her project “Better Mobility.” This accolade highlights the impact of personal choices on the ecosystem and positively affects local communities.
The company Karion Therapeutics from the University of Minho, last year’s winner, was also included in this ceremony. The prize recognizes university-based start-ups planning to internationalize (born global start-ups) from the very beginning, providing international business models to support visibility and networking at the European level.
