The 4th EUROMBR International Summer School on Microfluidics is organised by the University of Granada, and addresses the study of basic and applied aspects of microfluidics in bioprocess development and medical applications.
This edition will take place from 11th to 15th September at the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Granada.
The EUROMBR Summer School is structured in two Training Courses:
Training Course on Bioprocess Development of Microbiorreactors
11-15 September 2023

A 5-day Training Course with a lecture program and laboratory hands-on sessions covering the following topics:
- Microfabrication
- Microfluidics, Transport Phenomena, Fluid Flow
- Sensors and Inline-Analytics
- Ultrahigh Throughput Screening based on Droplet Microfluidics
- Enzyme Immobilization in Microreactors
- Biocatalysis in Microreactors
- Cell Cultivation in Microreactors
- Modeling and Design of Processes in Microfluidic Systems
Training Course on Medical Applications of Microfluidics
11-13 September 2023

It is a 3-day Training Course with a lecture program and laboratory demonstrations covering the following topics:
- Fundamentals of Microfluidics
- Microfabrication
- Biosensors
- In-vitro disagnostics
- Visualization, sorting, separation, and cell therapy with microfluidic devices
- Blood therapy with microfluidic devices
Practical information
The 4th EUROMBR International Summer School on Microfluidics presents a limited number of places. In order to facilitate the participation of the different members of the Arqus Alliance, there will be 9 places booked for Arqus universities.
Early Bird registration: From 24th April – 15th July
- 300 € for Bioprocess Development
- 200 € for Medical Applications
Late Fee registration: From 16th July – 3rd September
- 375 € for Bioprocess Development
- 275 € for Medical Applications
