Lyon 1 launches the ArchiFun Doctoral Programme

The University of Lyon 1 invites Arqus students to apply for the ArchiFun Doctoral Programme “Architecture, Function and Dynamics in Life Sciences”.

ArchiFun is a Doctoral Programme promoted by the University of Lyon 1 and co-funded by the European Commission under the Marie Sklodowska-Curie COFUND action. The Programme focuses on the relationships between structure, function and dynamics at all levels, from atoms to cells, organisms and ecosystems.

ArchiFun DP will recruit 23 doctoral students through two calls, one in 2024 and another one in 2025. Applications for the first call are now open and 12 doctoral students will be recruited across four universities, including two Arqus members: 6 at the University of Lyon 1 (France), 2 at the University of Granada (Spain), 3 at the Technical University of Munich (Germany) and 1 at the National Institute of Chemistry (Slovenia).

Important dates:

  • Opening of the call 1: 8th April 2024.
  • Deadline for applications: 31st May 2024.
  • Assessment process: June 2024
  • Interview phase: July 2024.
  • Start of scholarships: 1st October 2024.
