Arqus celebrates the successful completion of its first joint micro-credential
|
30 Jul 2026The first jointly developed and delivered Arqus micro-credential, Advanced Creative Thinking and Communication, has been successfully completed, marking an important milestone for the Alliance.
Developed through the collaboration of Vilnius University, Maynooth University, University of Minho, University of Graz, and the external partner Kaospilot (Denmark), the programme reflects the Alliance’s commitment to creating innovative, flexible, and international learning opportunities. By combining expertise from multiple institutions and disciplines, the micro-credential offered participants a truly multicultural educational experience.
The inaugural edition attracted 59 participants from 18 countries, bringing together students from Arqus universities and lifelong learners from diverse academic and professional backgrounds. Delivered in a blended learning format, the programme began with an online introductory session, continued with three intensive in-person days at Kaospilot in Aarhus, Denmark, and concluded with a three-week virtual creative challenge and a final online reflection session.
Throughout the programme, participants developed practical methods for generating original ideas and communicating them effectively to different audiences. As Programme Director Christian Byrge (Kaospilot) explained, the focus was on creating ideas that make people ask, “Why haven’t we thought of that before?” Participants also explored how AI chatbots can enhance creative thinking, support learning processes, and strengthen the communication of innovative ideas.
Building on the success of this first edition, Arqus will offer the micro-credential again in the 2026–2027 academic year. The next edition is scheduled for May–June 2027 and will once again combine online learning with an on-site experience at Kaospilot in Aarhus, Denmark.
Registration details will be published on the Arqus micro-credentials page in the coming months. Stay tuned!
