A delegation from Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv visits Minho in the framework of the “Arqus for Ukraine” project

The University of Minho (UMinho) received in November a delegation from Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv (KNU), Ukraine, within the scope of the Arqus for Ukraine initiative.
The five-day program aimed to share experiences and good practices in the area of internationalization of education, deepen cooperation ties, and raise awareness of the culture and heritage of UMinho and the city of Braga. The agenda included the lecture “The Geopolitics of the Ukrainian War”, by Roman Petyur, Director of the International Relations Office and Associate Professor at the Educational and Scientific Institute of International Relations at KNU.
The Ukrainian delegation held different meetings at UMinho with the Vice-rector of Education and Academic Mobility, Filomena Soares, the Vice-rector of Institutional Communication, Teresa Ruão, the Director of Internationalization Support Services, Ana Esteves, the Director of the Special Projects Office, David Silva, the Director of the language center BabeliUM, Bruna Peixoto, and the local Arqus Manager, Vanessa Alves.
The sessions were focused on the recruitment and integration of international degree-seeking students, bilateral and multilateral agreements, professional integration and Alumni, multilingualism, R&D, and innovation, among other subjects.
