From 10 to 13 September, Pablo Gómez-Puig Garach and Javier Fernández Velasco from Granada visited the SMILE start-up initiative of the International SEPT Competence Centre at Leipzig University with their project “GeoCasetas“, as part of the Arqus “Testing prototypes in European markets” (former ISYLE) mobility.

The two young founders’ programme included meetings with local SMILE-supported start-ups (Inclusive Gaming GmbH and others), discussions with various local programmers at code meetings in the coworking space Basislager, discussions with IT-based research projects (Smart Farming Lab) and others. The mobility was complemented by individual discussions with the SMILE start-up coaches about potential partners, expansion potential and internationalisation opportunities.

The “GeoCasetas” app is designed to enable interested parties to quickly find the right locations and connections at events using geolocalisation.
