Arqus participates in the major conference “Campus of European Universities”

On 30th June, Arqus will participate in the “Campus of European Universities”, a major conference organized by the French Presidency of the Council of the European Union, that will take place at the Palais des congrès in Versailles.
This event, announced by the President of the French Republic, aims to highlight the contribution of Alliances such as the “European Universities” to the European model. In particular, it will aim to accompany their commitment in the light of the European strategy empowering higher education institutions for the future of Europe and the Council recommendation on building bridges for effective higher education cooperation.
The Campus of European Universities will involve the 41 European University Alliances of over 300 higher education establishments from all 27 EU Member States.
The event will bring together the member institutions of the Alliances in their diversity, their partners and will also be open to the world with the possibility of establishing new cooperations.
A “Village of European Universities” will also allow the Alliances to showcase their achievements and ambitions for the benefit of students and society at large.
The Arqus Coordinator, Dorothy Kelly; the Consortium Manager, Fernando Galán; the head of the Communications Team, Marina Fernández-Peña; and the chair of the Students’ Council, Duarte Lopes, will represent the Arqus Alliance in this big event and will participate in the different activities scheduled:
- 2 Roundtables on “Deepening the European sense of belonging based on common values” and “Driving Europe’s global role and leadership”.
- 4 Thematic Workshops on “Diverse models, common challenges”; “Building partnerships with socio-economic stakeholders”; “Role models for the transformation of the European higher education landscape” and “Showcasing Europe’s higher education worldwide”.
- A booth of Arqus at the “Village of European Universities”.
