28 Oct 2026The Arqus Talent Scholarship Fund project has been awarded over €1 million in European funding, opening new opportunities for talented students from Be resident in EU Member States, EEA countries and Erasmus+ programme countries at the time of application and throughout the scholarship period to study at Arqus Universities. The project will provide funding equivalent to 82 yearly scholarships across 12 programmes in priority strategic sectors, supporting 38 students throughout their studies.
This initiative aims to attract and retain talented postgraduate students by making it easier for them to access study opportunities within one of the Arqus Alliance Universities or to take part in the Alliance’s joint programmes, covering the main costs involved in their studies and mobility.
The scholarships will cover the full duration of the programme or the study itinerary, up to a maximum of three years (six semesters), including:
For Arqus, bringing back the Talent Scholarship Fund not only means bringing back one of the Alliance’s most requested initiatives, but it also means to give talented students the opportunity to study across the Arqus Universities, gain international experience and build connections with peers and researchers from across Europe.
A major objective of the project is to test multiple aspects of scholarship schemes, identifying and analysing challenges and potential solutions, leading to policy recommendations at different (programme, institutional, consortium, national and European) levels. This is especially with a view to contributing to the design and implementation of an action offering scholarships for talented students in priority areas in the next Erasmus+ programme 2028-34.
