For the first time, Arqus organised a series of yoga sessions during exam week, offering students and staff a valuable opportunity to pause, relax and prioritise their wellbeing amid a demanding academic period.

Held from 18 to 22 May, the 30-minute sessions attracted participants looking for a healthy and restorative break between study sessions and exams. The initiative was warmly received, with attendees highlighting the positive impact the classes had on their concentration, energy levels and overall mood.

Led by colleagues Katerina Koulianou and Ainhoa López, the sessions combined gentle movement, breathing techniques and guided relaxation in a welcoming and accessible environment. One of the key aspects appreciated by participants was the simplicity of the activity: no sportswear or previous yoga experience was required, making it easy for everyone to join.

Throughout the week, the yoga sessions created a calm and supportive space where participants could disconnect from stress and reconnect with themselves, even if only for half an hour. Many attendees expressed their appreciation for the initiative and their interest in seeing similar wellbeing activities organised again in the future.

With this successful first edition, Arqus once again reinforces its commitment to promoting not only academic excellence, but also the physical and mental wellbeing of its community.
