Interview with Daria Dereko, student of the Arqus Joint Master’s Programme in European Studies at the University of Graz

Daria Dereko is a first-year student in the Arqus Joint Master’s Programme in European Studies. She is Ukrainian and is enjoying the new experience at the University of Graz. She studied Translation and Interpreting before and is now happy to be learning a lot about European Studies.

She recommend incoming students to not only attend classes and seminars but also take advantage of the University of Graz extracurricular activities, volunteering or internships. She is currently an intern at Graz’s International Centre of Modern Languages, part of the Council of Europe.

Next semester Daria is planning to continue the Master’s Programme at Leipzig University as she speaks German and is looking for further opportunities there.
