04 Mar 2024The President of Maynooth University, Professor Eeva Leinonen, invites Arqus members to two special events in Brussels on 5th and 6th March to celebrate International Women’s Day 2024.
On Tuesday, 5th March (18:00-20:00 CET), Maynooth will host a special reception at IBEC Global (Avenue de Cortenbergh 100, 1000 Brussels) with the following aims:

On 6th March (12:30-14:30 CET), the panel discussion “Advancing Gender Equality in Higher Education Leadership” will take place at the Permanent Representation of Ireland to the EU (Rue Froissart 50, 1040 Brussels). The event will feature senior female leaders from the Arqus European University Alliance (the Arqus Coordinator, Dorothy Kelly, the President of Maynooth University, Eeva Leinonen, and the former Rector of the University of Granada, Pilar Aranda Ramírez), representatives of the European Commission (Ambassador Barbara Cullinane, Deputy Permanent Representative of Ireland to the Perman Rep, Brussels, and Vanessa Debiais-Sainton, Head of Unit Higher Education, DG Education, Youth, Sport and Culture, DG EAC) and professors (Professor John O’Brennan, Maynooth University).
