26 Jan 2023The kick-off meeting for the Arqus Network of Language Centre Directors is taking place today at Leipzig University. The Language Centre Directors of the Universities of Granada, Leipzig, Lyon 1, Padua, Vilnius and Wroclaw are participating.
The main goal of the Network is to connect and identify joint resources and areas where the Directors and Language Centres can work together and then do so in a highly constructive manner. The network will meet at least once a year in person and several times online.
This morning, professors Olaf Bärenfänger and Roma Kriaučiūnienė, Co-leaders of Work Package 11 “Plurilingual & Intercultural Hub”, welcomed the participants and opened the meeting. Attendees then presented their Language Centres before group work began, focusing on the two target groups: students and staff. The kick-off event will wrap up afterwards with the key points worked into a road map for the future work of the network.
