30 Apr 2024The University of Padua and the Human Rights Centre Antonio Papisca invite Arqus students to participate in the hybrid seminar “Palestinian Nationality and Citizenship Status: Navigating Multifaceted Realities and Challenges across Israel, the West Bank, Jerusalem, and Refugee Communities in Lebanon and Jordan”.
This is the inaugural seminar of the student-led project “Advocacy Hub: Students’ Voices at the Human Rights Centre”. Supported by the University of Padua and the Human Rights Centre Antonio Papisca, the project focuses on organizing a series of seminars, workshops, and dialogues to delve into current human rights issues.
The first seminar will focus on Palestinian citizenship, exploring the differences, challenges and advocacy efforts. Rather than solely focusing on the ongoing conflict in Gaza, the objective is to look at the historical background that has contributed to the oppression experienced by Palestinians across the region for decades.
The session will take place on 9th May at 16:00 CEST at the Human Rights Centre (Via Beato Pellegrino, 28, 35137 Padua PD, Italia) and online through the Zoom platform.
