From 21st to 23rd November, Paula and Álvaro, two students from the University of Granada (UGR), embarked on a short mobility trip to the University of Padua (UNIPD) to delve into the diverse student services offered. The visit aimed to foster collaboration and knowledge exchange between the two institutions, and it is part of the Arqus UGR local Ambassadors programme that involves 10 more UGR students in visits to other Arqus universities during the academic year 2023/2024.

The agenda for Paula and Álvaro’s visit was thoughtfully curated to provide them with a comprehensive understanding of UNIPD’s offerings. Their itinerary included in-depth explorations of various UNIPD offices and facilities, a guided campus tour and engaging cultural visits.

During their visit, they had the opportunity to familiarize themselves with key offices such as the Student Services Office, the Inclusion Unit, the Global Engagement Office, the ESU of Padua, the Padova ESN branch and the local coordination of the Arqus Student Agora. This immersive experience allowed them to gain insights into the operational dynamics of UNIPD and foster a deeper understanding of the services provided to the student community.

Notably, their visit coincided with the implementation of the Student Agora’s “Arqus countries’ 2023 human rights records review” co-designed project. This collaborative initiative involved students from Padua, Wroclaw, and Granada, further enhancing the cross-cultural exchange and cooperative spirit between the participating universities. The project representative from Wroklaw, Eirini Aivaliotou, has also travelled to Padua to attend the event.

The representatives of the hosting institution valued this visit as a solid foundation for ongoing collaboration and an impulse of the cultural and academic exchange between the University of Granada and the University of Padua. The University of Padua expressed its confidence that the mobility series Granada students are undergoing will continue to strengthen the student services between the Arqus partner universities.
