Vilnius University organises a training course on protection of Intellectual Property for PhDs

Vilnius University organises the online course “Training About the Protection of Intellectual Property” for PhD students. 20 places will be reserved for students from Arqus universities.

This course will provide an introduction to the different types of Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) and how to navigate in the world of IP. Among others, the course will provide knowledge about patenting, trademarks and design, while also giving an overview of valuable IP tools to use. Further, the course will also provide insights into the commercialisation of IP rights and how to move a start-up/spin-out forward.

Programme:

  • Introduction to IPR and when to use different kinds of IPR.
  • Patent and utility models.
  • Trademarks and design protection.
  • Search tools and typical pitfalls when patenting in different industries.
  • Commercial assessment of IP and technology.

The full programme will be published in due time.

The training will be led by representatives of Plaugmann Vingtoft (Denmark).

The course lasts 5 full days: 24th March, 6th April, 27th April, 5th May and 12th May.

The participation certificates will be issued only for those participants who will attend at least 4 training sessions out of 5.

Registration is open until 20th March.
