Leading Innovation Management

Arqus Micro-credential

In today’s fast-paced world, the ability to lead and manage innovation in dynamic and uncertain environments is a competitive edge. Whether it’s driving organizational transformation or shaping ecosystem collaboration across sectors, effective innovation leadership and responsible strategic management have become crucial assets. This course is designed to help individuals who are ready to transform how they approach complex problems and technology integration.

The program emphasizes the leadership role in transforming ideas into impactful solutions, managing disruptive technologies, and fostering cross-sectoral collaboration. A distinctive feature is its integration of responsible and sustainable innovation principles, including the UN SDGs and introductory sustainability assessment tools (LCA, LCC, S-LCA).

Combining Vilnius University’s expertise in innovation management and technology transfer with Maynooth University’s focus on sustainability and social innovation, the program prepares participants to apply responsible, ethical, and future-oriented innovation leadership in real-world contexts.

The course spans five structured modules:

  1. Innovation ecosystems and leadership for transformation: Ecosystem thinking, network governance, and strategic leadership.
  2. Disruptive technologies and market readiness: Evaluating disruptive innovations, technology readiness, commercialization, and fast-changing markets.
  3. Sustainability and social innovation for impact: UN SDGs, Stakeholder Mapping, Mission Model Canvas, LCA, LCC, and S-LCA impact evaluation.
  4. Responsible leadership, risk, and ethics in innovation: Risk management, ethical dilemmas, RRI principles, and governance frameworks.
  5. Applied innovation challenge: Hands-on team challenge designing and presenting an innovation strategy to peers and experts.

The course combines theory on innovation ecosystems with real-world challenges, reflective practice, and applied study activities. It is intensive, strategic, scientific, and highly practical.
