15 Nov 2024

On 29 November, the Leipzig University’s Global and European Studies Institute, ReCentGlobe and the Arqus Living Lab European Identity and Heritage are organising a roundtable and thinkaton under the title “European Studies in a World in Flux: Perspectives from Employers and Stakeholders”.

The event brings together experts, potential future employers and stakeholders for whom the graduates of the transnational Master’s program in European Studies and similar programs might be interesting partners. At the roundtable, they reflect on the challenges in European politics, culture, business and academia that they see emerging in the face of the (recent) dramatic transformations in European and global contexts. Economic crises, climate change, warfare, the rise of populist and authoritarian politics, and the fragility of the international order have variable and specific effects on different sectors of European societies. The discussion shall help map the variable concerns and highlight potential strategies to cope with them from professionals’ perspectives. This includes their expectation from universities, scholars, and students and the role that would have to play.

This is a hybrid event with limited in-person attendance for 20 participants. By registering, you will receive an email confirming to attend in person. First come, first served.
