Looking after your wellbeing: join two online workshops open to Arqus students
|
05 Oct 2026How do you recognise anxiety? What can you do when it starts to feel overwhelming? And how can you build confidence in social or academic situations?
This October and November, Maynooth University Counselling Service is inviting students from across Arqus to join two online workshops exploring these topics and sharing practical tools for looking after your wellbeing.
The workshops are part of a new collaboration between Maynooth University Counselling Service and the International Office, which have worked together since 2023 to support students preparing for study abroad and incoming Erasmus students. Inspired by the transformative experiences shared by students and staff during Erasmus mobility, this collaboration has grown into an opportunity to exchange good practices and strengthen student mental health and wellbeing support.
With the support of Arqus Alliance Engagement Coordinator Philippa Harper, and in collaboration with counselling colleagues from across the Alliance, the initiative is now opening these learning opportunities to students from Arqus universities.
Join Deirdre McDonagh, Head of Maynooth University Counselling, Student Services, for a brief and practical workshop exploring how anxiety can present at different levels.
You will learn more about recognising anxiety, understanding how it can affect you and knowing when and where to seek support.
