Arqus Coordinator participates as keynote speaker at CIVICA Global Forum

05 May 2025Dorothy Kelly, Arqus coordinator, will discuss on the role of Higher Education in strengthening Europe’s competitiveness at CIVICA Global Forum 2025 in Madrid.
This Forum will take place on 6 and 7 May at IE University (Madrid), under the theme “Leveraging Social Sciences in Higher Education: Navigating global challenges and complexities”. It will feature thought-provoking keynotes, interactive panels, and engaging discussions, highlighting the power of collaboration in driving innovation and societal impact.
Dorothy Kelly will participate in the panel “The role of Higher Education in strengthening Europe’s competitiveness” on Wednesday 7 May. She will discuss how European universities strengthen the region’s global economic positioning through cutting-edge research, innovation, and talent development. Higher Education institutions are fostering a competitive knowledge economy, equipping future leaders with essential skills, and driving technological and societal advancements to maintain Europe’s leadership on the global stage.
Over two days, the CIVICA Global Forum 2025 will bring together institutional representatives, public policy makers, leaders from academia and private enterprise, and strategic partners to reflect on the role of Higher Education in major global challenges. It also aims to give visibility to the European Universities initiative beyond the academic and European level, and reinforce the role of European partnerships as an engine of global transformation.
