On 10 and 11 June, experts from four Arqus universities met at the University of Graz to fine-tune the curriculum for the future Joint Master’s Programme in Translation, Technologies and Artificial Intelligence.

Participants from the universities of Granada, Graz, Minho and Vilnius, coordinated by the University of Graz, met on 10 and 11 June to finalise the curriculum for this innovative new Joint Master.

Arqus Joint Programmes reinforce the commitment of the Alliance to student-centred and research-based learning through joint and flexible curricula. Besides the already successful Arqus Joint Master’s Programmes –Translation; European Studies; and International Cybersecurity and Cyberintelligence – new Master’s are being developed.

The new Arqus Joint Master’s Programme in Translation, Technologies and Artificial Intelligence has entered its final phase of development. With this week’s meeting, the organising team focused on defining the qualification profile and learning objectives as well as discussing the organisational processes of the partnership.

This pioneering study programme aims to bridge the gap between academic education and the digitalisation of the translation labour market. Because of the increasing demand for expertise in the fields of digital tools, machine translation and artificial intelligence, the programme aims to position itself as a trendsetter. Students who wish to complete the courses of this Master’s programme in the future will be able to do so at at least two of the four partner universities.
