Participate in the UMinho Staff Week 2026: University innovation and entrepreneurial ecosystems

The University of Minho invites Arqus researchers, teachers and administrative staff to their “University Innovation and Entrepreneurial Ecosystems” Staff Week. It will take place in Guimarães (Portugal) from 22 to 26 June 2026 and registration is open until next 24 April.

The main purpose of this Erasmus+ Staff Mobility Week is to provide participants with the knowledge and tools to understand, develop and implement effective innovation and entrepreneurial ecosystems in their universities. Also, atendees will learn from shared experiences and visions on such ecosystems and this will promote the creation of synergies, partnerships and networking in the field.

Through a five-day course in the historic city of Guimarães (Portugal), master classes, seminars, on-site visits and training will cover the different dimensions of an entrepreneurial hub using the University of Minho and its partners as case study. Participants will have the opportunity to propose and implement improvements in their own universities through a collaborative approach.

The programme will be led by experienced trainers and coaches. Collaborative activities will focus on identifying best practices in the field and developing a strategic plan to foster more innovative and entrepreneurial European universities.

Aspects such as university-industry partnerships, how to turn university-based intensive knowledge and technologies into products and services, solutions for the community and businesses for the market will also be covered. The ideas and contributions developed will be used to produce an e-book that will enhance the dissemination of the programme and support further editions.

Members of the academic community with an English level of B1 or above, looking to develop and/or improve their understanding and contribution to more effective and collaborative innovation and entrepreneurial ecosystems linking universities and industry in different countries can benefit from this course.

The programme costs 240 € and includes:
