As part of the Alliance’s Twinning Programme, a delegation from the University of Wrocław visited Leipzig University from 4 to 9 May 2026. Five students in Business Administration and Prof. Sebastian Jakubowski joined their Leipzig colleagues – and marked Europe Day together at the Arqus information stand.

Hosted by Prof. Schweighofer-Kodritsch from Leipzig University’s Institute for Microeconomics, the programme brought together students and academics from both universities in a dynamic mix of academic and cultural activities. Prof. Jakubowski from the Institute of Economic Sciences at the University of Wrocław, accompanied the group through a varied agenda that included a campus tour, a workshop on artificial intelligence in business and economics, student networking sessions, and a guided walk through the city of Leipzig.

The exchange concluded with a strong European focus: on the occasion of Europe Day, the delegation joined the Leipzig coordination team at the Arqus Alliance information booth on the main campus. With its spotlight on sustainable travel, the stand was a natural fit for a group that had made the journey from Wrocław by rail – and a reminder that international academic exchange and environmental responsibility need not be at odds.
