Arqus R&I participates in the 2nd Annual Forum of TORCH, the R&I project of the CHARM-EU Alliance

On 8th March 2023, the 2nd Annual Forum of TORCH, the R&I project of the CHARM-EU Alliance, took place face to face at the Trinity College Dublin.

The aim of the event was to share common R&I policies and strategies and strengthening collaborations between the R&I dimensions of European University Alliances. The Forum dealt with the topics of research assessment reform, fostering equality, diversity and inclusion in research, championing open science and citizen science, promoting inter- and transdisciplinary research and fostering R&I cooperation between universities.

Arqus R&I made two contributions in the Cluster “New approaches for diverse academic careers”. Pia Voigt (Leipzig University) and Daniela Pichler (University of Graz) presented “How to foster Open Science – Results from an Arqus-wide Survey among Researchers and derived Recommendations”. Andreas Raggautz (University of Graz) presented the pilot on research assessment reform that will be carried out by the University of Graz with association of other Arqus universities.

Arqus R&I was also present at the TORCH Annual Forum 2022 with a presentation about the reform of the research assessment systems in Europe. You can find more information here.
