The Université Claude Bernard Lyon 1 invites Arqus students to participate in the MuSkLE (Musculo-Skeletal system, Locomotion, Exercise) Summer School 2023 organised in Lyon and Saint-Étienne (France) from 25th to 30th June 2023. The official language of the Summer School is English.
The goal of MuSkLE is to educate students on the development, regulation and function of the musculoskeletal system in different physiological and pathophysiological contexts. The influence of exercise and locomotor activities on this system will also be addressed.
The training, combining seminars, tutorials and practical work, will be based on interdisciplinary experimental approaches (cellular, tissue, whole organ) conducted in animal models and in humans, in order to understand the mechanisms involved in the plasticity of the musculoskeletal system.
The Summer School is mainly addressed to Bachelor (in priority) and Master students in molecular biology, cell or developmental biology, physiology and exercise science interested in research on the musculoskeletal system.
The number of places is limited to 20 students. Registration can be done through the following link until 15th March. A selection will be made on the basis of a curriculum vitae and a motivation letter. CEFR Level B1 or TOEIC > 550 is requested. A travel grant may be awarded to cover part or all of the travel and accommodation. Notification of the selected candidate will be done on 31st March.
