International Doctoral Summer School in Granada 2
|
26 Oct 2009The University of Granada and the University Jean Moulin Lyon 3 have created, within the framework of the Arqus European University Alliance, an international double degree in Law that will start to take place in the 2021/22 academic year.
The increasingly close relationship between the universities that are part of the Arqus European University Alliance is resulting in new initiatives such as this new joint academic offer, despite not being part of the initially planned activities. There is no doubt that Arqus is acting as a catalyst for a multitude of joint initiatives thanks to the effort and involvement of the different academic communities.
This double degree allows students to undertake international studies unique in Andalusia and to acquire a high level of training in Spanish, French and European law.
The coordinator of the new degree and professor of the Department of Constitutional Law of the UGR, Antonio Pérez Miras, highlights the “deep study plan” designed in the double degree, as well as the possibility of combining the training both in the Granada university institution and in the Jean Moulin Lyon 3, “one of the most reputable universities in France”, says Pérez Miras.
According to the study plan, those students selected will study the first two years at the University of Granada and the last two at the University Jean Moulin Lyon 3. Following a cohort model, both the Spanish and French students (6 students in both cases) will be in the same group from the first year, which will mean an international academic development from the beginning of the university career. Knowledge of the French language is required (B2 or B1 in exceptional cases)
The application period will be open from 29th July to 7 September at 2 p.m CEST.
