Lyon 1 welcomes its Arqus students!

On Thursday 21st September, the Arqus team at the University of Lyon 1 organised a welcome event for its incoming Arqus students. Students from the universities of Granada (Spain), Graz (Austria), Leipzig (Germany) and Padua (Italy) took part in it.
The aim of the event was to give Arqus students the opportunity to meet each other and find out what it means to be an Arqus student.
During the early part of the morning, students were able to meet the Arqus Lyon 1 team over breakfast and find out about the experiences they can benefit from as members of this Alliance, such as the language courses at the Arqus Café and the Mentoring and Ambassador Programmes offered by the Arqus Student Agora. Romain Thinon, Project Manager of the Alliance in Lyon 1 presented:
- The different member universities.
- The values and missions of the Alliance.
- The opportunities of Arqus.
To round off the morning on a high note, an escape game was organised to allow the young people on mobility programmes to discover the emblematic Grand Hôtel Dieu, a historic site in the city of Lyon, in a fun way, and to forge links with each other for the year to come.
In order to develop the Arqus spirit, the Arqus team at Lyon 1 plans to organise other events throughout the year.
