07 Jul 2026This week marks a significant moment for the Master in International Cybersecurity and Cyberintelligence (MICAC) as students, academics and administrative staff from across the consortium gather at the University of Minho for the first-ever MICAC Graduation Week.
Hosted by the University of Minho, the week brings together representatives from all four partner universities – the University of Granada, the University of Padua, Vilnius University and the University of Minho – reflecting the collaborative spirit that has defined the programme since its launch.
Throughout the week, students will complete the final academic stage of the Master’s programme, including the Attack & Defence Exercise and the public defence of their Master’s dissertations, culminating on Friday 10th with the MICAC Graduation Ceremony, where academics and students will celebrate together the achievements of the first graduating cohort and their successful completion of an ambitious international academic journey.
Beyond its academic dimension, the Graduation Week represents an opportunity for the consortium to strengthen collaboration, exchange experiences and continue improving this innovative joint Master’s programme. It also offers students and staff the chance to reflect on two years of international mobility, interdisciplinary learning and cooperation across four European universities.
The Graduation Week also represents an important moment for the Cyberactioning Project, the Digital Europe Programme project supporting MICAC, demonstrating how European cooperation can contribute to developing the next generation of cybersecurity professionals through innovative, international and challenge-based education.
As the first cohort reaches this important milestone, the consortium is already looking ahead to future editions, building on the experience gained during these two years and reinforcing the long-term sustainability of the programme.
The Arqus Alliance acknowledges the dedication of all students, academic staff and professional services teams whose commitment has made this first Graduation Week possible.
