The University of Granada holds a talk on Lithuanian literature

25 Mar 2025The Centre for Slavic Cultures of the University of Granada organised a talk on Lithuanian literature presented by Aistė Kučinskienė, associate professor at Vilnius University.
During the session, Nina Kressova, the Director of the Centre for Slavic Cultures of the University of Granada, introduced Aistė Kučinskienė, a specialist in Hispanic philology and Lithuanian literature. She is currently an Erasmus+ visiting lecturer at the University of Granada. The talk was held on 5 March in the El Tiempo Perdido bookshop in Granada.
Aistė Kučinskienė is an associate professor at the Faculty of Philology of Vilnius University (Lithuania). Her main academic interests are the history of Lithuanian literature, especially in the first half of the twentieth century, twentieth-century Spanish literature, and research on autobiographical writing. Together with Viktorija Šeina, Aistė Kučinskienė recently published a book on the school literary canon in Lithuania. She also translates fiction and poetry from Spanish into Lithuanian. Her recent translations include Lo demás es aire by Juan Gómez Bárcena, Fulgentius by César Aira and Elena sabe by Claudia Piñeiro.
The Centre for Slavic Cultures of the University of Granada is a non-profit institution, founded in 2015. It promotes intercultural dialogue and education, as well as the teaching and study of Slavic and Caucasian languages.
