Everything ready for the Granada Arqus School 2022 next week!

25 Apr 2022After a few months of delay due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the Granada Arqus School 2022 will take place in this beautiful city next week, from 2nd to 6th May.
More than 50 undergraduate and master’s students from all Arqus Universities are already preparing for their trip to Granada to meet each other in person and enjoy this unique learning experience in Europe. The selected Arqus students have an appointment to meet the grand challenges of our time, such as migration, climate change or inequality, characterised by complexity, uncertainty, ethical dilemmas and urgency. The School is an excellent opportunity for them to rethink how they should act as European citizens and progress in the projects they presented during the Student-led Forum that took place in Padua last 3rd and 4th April.
The theme they will be working on during the whole week will be “Diversity, interdisciplinarity and social challenges”. The participants have already had the opportunity to receive two introductory sessions to know the main structure and academic contents of the School. Additionally, they participated in a practical workshop on climate issues with key stakeholders from the province of Granada.
From next Monday, they will have an intense week of activities ahead of them, including lectures, practical workshops and thematic excursions. The entire programme, which can be downloaded here, has been designed to combine diverse and innovative research-based teaching and learning methods to give an overview of interdisciplinary approaches to diversity in the humanities and the natural sciences, and how these issues connect to governance and citizenship.
Everything is ready at the University of Granada so that the students, the undisputed protagonists of this event, can do their best to be equipped with the knowledge, resources and interdisciplinary and collaborative research skills and, afterwards, to transfer all these impact results to their projects and cities.
Go ahead, the future is in your hands!
