15 Jun 2026The University of Granada invites Arqus students to participate in the summer school “The Stages of Migration: An Interdisciplinary Perspective on the Life Course”, free of charge and with the possibility of getting accomodation grants.
Organised by the Institute of Migration Studies at the University of Granada together with the Doctoral School of Humanities, Social Sciences and Law, the sixth edition of this international summer school will take place from 7 to 10 September 2026.
The programme will be hosted at the Faculty of Philosophy and Arts of the University of Granada. It will offer a critical and up-to-date perspective on international migration from a life-course approach, combining keynote lectures, methodological innovation workshops, doctoral student scientific presentations and a knowledge-transfer forum with NGOs and civil society organisations.
The Summer School brings together renowned national and international scholars and professionals from institutions such as the University of Birmingham, the University of Girona, HES-SO University of Applied Sciences and Arts Western Switzerland, the International Business School Manchester and the International Organization for Migration (IOM), among others.
Adopting a strongly interdisciplinary perspective, the programme addresses migration through fields including Law, Anthropology, Sociology, Social Work, Human Geography and Gerontology.
Participation is free of charge for students from Arqus. In addition, participants may apply for accommodation grants, subject to availability.
The Summer School also offers an excellent international environment for academic exchange, networking and interdisciplinary collaboration among doctoral researchers and early-career scholars working on migration-related topics.
