09 Sep 2026The transition from Arqus II to the Arqus Bridge period is opening new opportunities to build on the Alliance’s achievements and further strengthen collaboration among its member universities.
As part of this ongoing process, Dr Tomasz Wysłobocki, from Wrocław University, recently visited the Institute of Foreign Languages at Vilnius University. The visit provided an opportunity to reflect on the achievements of Arqus II and to discuss how previous collaboration on plurilingualism and intercultural communication can be further developed in the next stage of the Alliance.
The meeting also offered a valuable opportunity for an in-person exchange on shared priorities and future activities. Particular attention was given to promoting intercultural communication and plurilingualism as key elements of an inclusive and diverse European university community.
Dr Wysłobocki and Prof. Dr Roma Kriaučiūnienė, Director of the Institute of Foreign Languages at Vilnius University, discussed the next steps for their joint work and identified new opportunities for continued collaboration within Arqus. The discussions resulted in a concrete plan for future activities aimed at strengthening intercultural dialogue, promoting plurilingual practices and contributing to the Alliance’s shared commitment to European values.
As Arqus Bridge moves forward, the Alliance continues to create opportunities for its member universities to exchange expertise, develop joint initiatives and strengthen cooperation across borders, contributing to a more inclusive, multilingual and intercultural European higher education landscape.
