On 7 and 9 April, Inmaculada Yuste, project manager of the local Arqus team at the University of Granada, delivered two presentations about the Arqus Alliance at the Federal University of the State of Rio de Janeiro (UNIRIO), in Brazil.

These presentations focused on the European Universities Initiative and how Brazilian learners can study at the University of Granada. The aim was to raise awareness of the Alliance beyond European borders and expand cooperation ties between universities.

The event was funded by the University of Granada’s staff mobility grants with the aim of learning about this Brazilian University and the broader Brazilian higher education system. It was organised by the Office for International Affairs (CRI) of the Brazilian university.

Since 2011, Inmaculada Yuste Martínez has been working on European projects and the H2020 programme as part of the area of Terrorism and Organised Crime. Since 2016, she has been a project evaluator for the Spanish and Maltese Erasmus national agencies. She currently combines her work as a project manager with her doctoral studies, which focus on public international law and children’s rights in conflict-affected areas.
