16 Sep 2024As part of the Arqus Alliance, the University of Lyon 1 is organising a series of webinars on climate change and sustainable development from October to December 2024. This innovative programme aims to train students and researchers to tackle the challenges of climate change and sustainable development through a multidisciplinary approach. This series will be followed by a Winter School in March 2025.
The University of Lyon 1, as a member of the Arqus Alliance, is hosting an interdisciplinary webinar series on climate change and sustainable development. This series of online webinars, led by researchers and academics from seven Arqus universities (Granada, Graz, Lyon 1, Minho, Padua, Vilnius and Wroclaw), is designed to promote a multidisciplinary approach, offering students and researchers a unique education incorporating the latest research advances in the field of climate change and sustainable development.
The main objectives of this initiative are to broaden the approach of Master’s programs by integrating complementary disciplines, to strengthen the links between students and research activities, and to foster collaboration between researchers in this crucial area.
Each partner university will highlight key topics, ranging from the physics of aerosols and greenhouse gases to the “One Health” approach to climate change, as well as historical pollen data and its impact on plant species.
These webinars are primarily aimed at Master’s students and early-career researchers but are open to all those interested in the subject, including researchers seeking to initiate cooperative projects between Arqus partner universities.
The webinars will take place on Tuesdays starting at 5:30 PM from October to mid-December (see the full program below).
