08 Mar 2024We are delighted to inform you that the Vice-Rector for Projects and International Relations at the University of Wrocław, Professor Patrycja Matusz, has been appointed Plenipotentiary of the Minister of Science for European Affairs and the Presidency of the Republic of Poland in the Council of the European Union.
The appointment took place at an event chaired by the Polish Minister of Science, Dariusz Wieczorek, on 6th March 2024. Professor Robert Olkiewicz, Rector of the University of Wrocław, commented on the event: “Today’s appointment of Professor Patrycja Matusz as the Minister of Science’s Plenipotentiary is a great success for her, but one that did not come about by itself, as she has worked for it over the years, becoming a widely recognised and respected expert in the field of international cooperation, the implementation of transnational projects and the principles of the functioning of the European Union. I am therefore proud that Professor Matusz is also my deputy in the Rectorate of the University of Wrocław, so I see this nomination as a success for the entire University and, in a way, as a confirmation of the University of Wrocław’s position on the academic map of Poland. I hope that in the next few days I will be able to congratulate Professor Matusz personally and embrace her warmly on behalf of the entire University of Wrocław”.
Professor Patrycja Matusz will continue to combine her new duties with her position as Vice-Rector for Projects and International Relations at the University of Wrocław.
