Strategic Roadmap for R&I in Arqus

The Arqus University Alliance aims to strengthen its Research and Innovation dimension by developing and pursuing a shared strategy.

To this end, senior governance of Arqus universities developed a Joint Research Action Plan, as a roadmap combining structural elements of joint R&I activities with guiding principles for joint action.

From January 2024 onwards, strategic planning on R&I flows into the general Strategic Development processes of the Alliance.

Vice-Rectors and other senior officials for R&I in the Alliance started meeting in March 2021 at successive High Level Seminars on R&I, to exchange on support mechanisms existing at their respective universities and to work on the Joint Research Action Plan.

With the creation of a specific Board for Research & Innovation in April 2022,  the R&I dimension has become one of the three pillars of the Arqus Alliance.

This Board governs the continued promotion of research collaborations among Arqus partners, oversees support offers for Early Stage Researchers and works for further enhancement of the research environment.
