Dr. Rebeca Blanco Rotea, Assistant Researcher – rebeca.blanco.rotea@eaad.uminho.pt
Rebeca is an internationally recognized expert in the study of historical landscapes and architectures, as well as in heritage management and public engagement with cultural heritage. In these fields, she has developed numerous educational and training activities within both formal and non-formal education and has extensive experience in knowledge transfer.
She has published more than 90 works in these areas of knowledge and has 27 years of experience in research and teaching. Rebeca served for eight years as coordinator of the Heritage and Cultural Assets Section of the Consello da Cultura Galega (Galicia, Spain), the advisory body to the public authorities of Galicia on cultural matters, where she carried out extensive consultancy work for public administrations, institutions, and civil society.
Dr. Cidália Silva, Associate Professor – cidalia@eaad.uminho.pt
Cidália is an expert in architecture, urbanism, and territorial studies, with a particular focus on contemporary urban and rural transformations, time and uncertainty in architectural practice, and children’s relationship with urban space. She has developed extensive teaching, research, and supervisory activities in these fields, fostering critical and interdisciplinary approaches to architecture and urbanism. She has more than 20 years of experience in research and higher education teaching and has actively participated in numerous international scientific initiatives and conferences.
Cidália served as Director of the PhD Programme in Architecture at the University of Minho between 2018 and 2021 and as Director of the Integrated Master in Architecture between 2023 and 2026. She has also coordinated major interdisciplinary projects, including the Architecture, Art and Urbanism Project within ProChild CoLab, focused on combating child poverty and social exclusion, and currently develops research on rural territories through the Erasmus+ project New Ruralites (NERU).
