The Network of Language Centre Directors was established in 2023 to promote both the exchange of ideas and professional development. It provides members the opportunity to discuss language-related topics and activities as well as to network with colleagues who have similar areas of responsibility. In addition, the group often dedicates parts of its meetings to focused work on Arqus language activities. For example, they met in Vilnius in 2023 to discuss and plan the structure of the Plurilingualism Module and in Granada in 2025 to develop an intercultural survey and discuss potential intercultural activities.
The group meets twice a year in person – once at the annual Arqus conference and once at a meeting hosted by one of the Arqus Universities – and also holds regular online meetings. Both language centre directors and heads of foreign language departments are welcome to join. We look forward to working together!
